From a spacious luxury bathroom all the way to a small guest bathroom: the successful Eqio collection has a solution for any type of bathroom. With its numerous design and feature options, the all-in-one Eqio range offers a wide variety of alternatives for creating a highly individual and modern look regardless of the floor plan. The range adapts effortlessly to the space available and grows with its users’ needs.
Launched in 2015, the Eqio collection quickly established itself as one of our absolute top sellers. Flexible vanity solutions with guaranteed storage space in ceramic, mineral cast and glass, combination-friendly cabinets, functional mirror cabinets, clever shelves, innovative lighting solutions and outstanding value for money make Eqio a genuine multitalent. In addition, customers benefit from the collection’s inclusion in burgbad’s fast delivery service for the Sys10 segment: all the elements in the Eqio range have a delivery time of just two to four days ex works. And there’s something else extremely pleasing about Eqio: it’s the first bathroom collection to be awarded the Blue Angel ecolabel.
The vanity is the centrepiece of the collection, which offers customers a choice of three materials for the basin: mineral cast, glass and ceramic. The shape of the basins accentuates the advantages of the individual materials: while they all speak the same design language, the transitions on the glass version look soft and flowing, those on the mineral cast model have a clear-cut and precise quality, whereas the ceramic basin has a slight overhang that emphasises the solid character of this classic material. Whatever material they’re made of, all the variants feature two roomy drawer elements of different heights.
The wide double vanity unit is particularly well equipped for coping with hectic early-morning grooming sessions, providing enough room for every member of the family and plenty of storage space in up to four drawers: an ideal solution for keeping hair gel, body lotion, towels & Co. neat and tidy. And for anyone who doesn’t have quite as much space but wants to avoid annoying traffic jams when two people are using the bathroom at once, Eqio also has a 1030mm wide basin variant in ceramic equipped with two tap holes for two separate fittings.
Finally, the guest bathroom solution turns Eqio into a complete collection with an option for any setting. The basin can be selected in glass, ceramic and mineral cast, and can also be equipped with optional LED lighting that runs around its circumference and is integrated beneath the edge. The vanity cabinet for the mini bathroom is available with or without an open compartment on the side. Because this open shelf element is only supplied in matt velvet white, it can be used to create attractive bicolour looks when combined with a cabinet in a different colour. The vanity cabinet – available in all the finishes for the Eqio collection – comes with a flap door with front-mounted interior dividers.
The cabinet elements in the Eqio range provide maximum storage potential. The main protagonists in the collection are the mirror cabinet together with the closed tall and mid-height cabinets. In particular, the extra roomy two-door tall cabinet, which is 176cm high, isn’t just striking because of how much space it provides but because of its attractive glass shelves as well.
A cube-shaped shelf element in matt white with slender, softened edges and an open front adds a playful touch to the repertoire. It can either be used on its own or as a linking element positioned on or between cabinets, thus helping create individual solutions that are ideally adapted to the room. There is also a reduced-depth variant of this open shelf element, which is ideal for closing gaps, creating accents and adding extra shelving wherever it’s needed.
Besides their height-adjustable glass shelves and top panels in the same colours as their fronts, the practical cabinets from the Eqio collection are also equipped with additional functions such as a tilt-out laundry hamper or an interior drawer hidden away behind their doors. Another of Eqio’s special extras is the integrated organiser in the drawer directly underneath the washbasin – a standard feature that provides a practical system for keeping smaller bits and pieces in order. All the drawers are fitted with user-friendly self-closing slides. A matching towel rail adds the finishing touch to this thoughtfully structured and surprisingly luxurious range of bathroom furniture.
Because it illuminates the opened top drawer, the optional LED strip light that can be integrated between the washbasin and the vanity cabinet is not just decorative but functional too. Together with the mirror lighting, which likewise accentuates the horizontal lines of the design, it helps create a consistent overall look for the washbasin area. When the white basins are illuminated from below, they almost look as if they are hovering in mid-air.
Besides providing additional storage space, the mirror cabinet is equipped with top-mounted LED lighting, doors mirrored on both sides, height-adjustable glass shelves and an internal power socket. When the doors are open, the decorative and functional light illuminates the interior of the cabinet very efficiently as well.
In the case of the illuminated mirror, customers can choose between a version with either an integrated LED strip light behind the glass or a top-mounted LED light, and a combination of mirror and shelf with a slightly projecting horizontal light at the top that conveniently illuminates both the user’s face and the shelf beneath. Whilst the top surface of the original and cleverly designed mirror shelf is made of hygienic acrylic in high-gloss white, the wall panel under it is available in all the same colours as the fronts in the Eqio collection. With three hooks, a power socket, hairdryer holder and optional magnifying mirror, it provides some practical extra features and attractive design options. The energy-efficient LED lights in the range are further evidence of the good value for money customers can expect from Eqio.
Eqio is just as versatile when it comes to the colours and finishes that customers can choose from. Snug colour combinations such as the wood-effect Marone truffle or Cashmere oak finishes that are available for melamine fronts and the trendy acrylic high-gloss fronts with lasered edges in white or grey provide a wide range of options.
The melamine fronts with a Flanelle oak or Frassino cappuccino finish are a particularly good fit with the trend towards wood shades that create a cosy look without being too dark. The Flannel oak effect goes well with the light Nordic colour palette and radiates a decidedly upscale feel – due in no small part to a lively surface that mirrors the characteristic grain of natural wood so authentically it even has knots. Thanks to its light grey shimmer, this finish blends in extremely well with a wide variety of modern interiors. The wood-effect Frassino cappuccino finish has slightly more of a warm brown nuance and a slightly more vivid grain – a combination that adds up to a very upmarket look.
One standard feature of the Eqio range is something of a rarity in this price category: the carcasses of the furniture match the fronts to ensure a consistent overall effect. Finely worked edges such as the laser-edged doors and the excellent “made in Germany” workmanship make the Eqio bathroom furniture collection even more attractive.
